Located in the University District of Fort Worth, the growing commercial complex of WestBend stretches across 278,000 square feet with retail, dining, and office developments.

As WestBend fills its final leasing spaces, developer Trademark Property announced two new openings this fall: Ascension Coffee and ZAAP Kitchen.

Ascension, an Australian-style coffee shop and wine bar, was first introduced to Dallas in 2012 with the goal of elevating the American café experience. With seven locations across the D-FW area, each café boasts an inviting environment with a chef-driven food menu.

“Ascension believes in creating community and has curated this café with its own design to fit its new environment,” Daniel Velez, the upcoming general manager of WestBend’s Ascension, stated in a press release.

ZAAP Kitchen is a fast-casual establishment with a focus on Lao cuisine and Thai street food, and is a part of the area’s booming Laotian food scene. Originally based in Dallas, the eatery’s first Fort Worth location will be at WestBend, and…
